Getting started
- What does HookVerdict do?
- It writes Meta and Google ad variants for Indian brands in English and nine Indian languages, gives each one a hypothesis, checks it for common policy problems, and gives each ad a verdict from your results: winner, loser, weak hook or still learning.
- Who is it for?
- D2C founders who want to test more ad ideas without an agency, in-house marketers who need Indian-language ads that pass policy checks, and small agencies writing for several brands.
- How do I start?
- Create a free account at hookverdict.com/signup with your work email. We send a 6-digit code; there is no password. Name your brand, then follow "Get set up" in your workspace.
- How long until I see a first result?
- Usually under two minutes: paste your product page in Brand, then generate a few angles in Create.
- Can I try it without signing up?
- Yes. The app preview runs on sample data, and the free tools need no account.
- Do I need to connect my ad account?
- No. You can export approved drafts as a CSV for Ads Manager and import your results from an Ads Manager export.
Price and the free period
- Is it really free?
- Yes, for your first 3 months (90 days from when you create your workspace), with everything unlocked and no limit. Paid AI engines are included.
- What happens after 3 months?
- You pay only for what you use, at what it costs us, with no markup, plus GST. A typical live generation costs about ₹1.20 per variant (est.). The pricing page lists every rate.
- Do I need a card?
- No card is needed to start.
- Will I be charged without warning?
- No. We email you 16 days, 6 days and 1 day before your free period ends, and the app shows a banner. After it ends, usage is taken from prepaid credit you add yourself; if there isn't enough, nothing runs.
- Are there monthly plans?
- Monthly plans are coming soon. We'll email you before anything changes.
- Do prices include GST?
- No. Indian customers pay 18% GST on usage charges and get a GST invoice.
- How do I pay?
- Through prepaid usage credit, from ₹500, added by the workspace owner. Online payment through Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking) is coming soon.
- Is HookVerdict free forever?
- No. It is free for your first 3 months, then pay-per-use at cost.
Ads and languages
- Which languages can it write in?
- English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam and Punjabi.
- Is the Indian-language copy translated from English?
- No. It is written natively from your brief, with an English meaning so your team can review it.
- Which ad formats are there?
- Meta ad copy, UGC video scripts, carousels, static images and Google responsive search ads.
- What is a hypothesis?
- What a test should teach you, written before it runs, such as "buyers care more about price per use than about ingredients". Every variant has one, so a loss still teaches you something.
- Does it check ads for policy problems?
- Yes: personal-attribute phrasing, cure or weight-loss claims, unproven superlatives, fake urgency, missing ASCI disclosure, character limits and your own banned words. The checks don't guarantee Meta or Google will approve an ad.
- Does it make images or videos?
- It writes UGC video scripts and lays out static image ads you can download as a PNG. It does not make AI videos, voiceovers or images of people.
- Does it connect to Meta?
- The Meta connection (import results, sync, send approved drafts as paused ads) is built and in beta while Meta reviews our app. Founding brands can be added as testers.
- Does it connect to Google Ads?
- Not yet. Google search ads are written and exported as a CSV. A direct connection is planned.
- Will HookVerdict change my ad account by itself?
- No. Every change waits for a person to approve it, and writes to ad accounts are off by default.
- What is breakeven ROAS?
- The return on ad spend you need to not lose money once COD fees, returned orders and GST are counted. The free calculator works it out from your numbers.
Data, team and support
- Is my data safe?
- Access tokens are encrypted, the audit log can't be edited and backups are encrypted. Your customers' names, addresses and phone numbers are not stored, and your content isn't used to train AI models.
- Does my data stay in India?
- We don't make that claim: some processors are outside India. The privacy page lists them.
- Can my team use it?
- Yes. Invite people as owner, approver, editor or viewer. Every action is recorded in the audit log.
- Can I manage several brands?
- Yes, you can own up to 5 workspaces and switch between them.
- Who is behind HookVerdict?

- Can I talk to a person?
- Yes. Ask in the chat; if the assistant can't answer, leave your email and the founder replies, usually within 10 hours. You can also email [email protected].
- How do I delete my data?
- See hookverdict.com/data-deletion. Owners can also download all workspace data from the Usage page.
