Gujarati ad copy generator · ગુજરાતી

Gujarati shoppers are known for weighing value carefully, so clear prices, pack sizes and practical details tend to matter more than lofty brand language. Navratri and Diwali are the big seasonal peaks, and Gujarati ads reach both Gujarat and large Gujarati communities in Mumbai.

Writing Gujarati ads that read naturally

  • Address customers with તમે and polite verb forms (કરો, જુઓ); તું is too familiar for brand copy.
  • Gujarati script has no headline bar (shirorekha), so text can look lighter than Devanagari; use a font weight that stays legible on image creatives.
  • Postpositions attach directly to numbers and words (₹699થી, 6 ડબ્બાનો); keep them joined rather than spacing them out as an English-style translation might.
  • Gujarati sentences end with a full stop (.), not the Devanagari danda.
  • Use Western digits and ₹ for prices; Gujarati numerals (૩૯૯) are understood but less common online.
  • Saurashtra, Kutch, north and south Gujarat speech varies; keep base copy in standard Gujarati and test local flavour separately.

Length and rendering

Gujarati uses vowel signs and conjuncts that can take several Unicode code points per visible syllable, though without the headline bar it can look more compact. Character counters may still report more than you expect. Treat Meta's recommended lengths as guidance and check the mobile preview.

Questions

Should Gujarati ads also target Mumbai?
Mumbai has a large Gujarati-speaking population, so combining Gujarati language targeting with Mumbai locations can be worth testing alongside your Gujarat campaigns, especially for food, jewellery and festive categories.
How early should Navratri campaigns start?
Shoppers buy outfits and jewellery for garba before the nine nights begin, so launch creatives and begin testing a few weeks earlier. Use the remaining days of Navratri to run your proven variants rather than to start testing.
Does price-led copy work better in Gujarati ads?
Many Gujarati shoppers value clear pricing and pack details, so stating the price and quantity plainly is a sensible default. Treat that as a hypothesis to test against a quality- or story-led variant rather than a fixed rule.
