Bengali ad copy generator · বাংলা

Bengali is India's second most spoken first language, and Durga Puja shapes much of the shopping calendar in West Bengal. Readers have a strong literary tradition and a good ear for language, so warm, well-written copy usually beats stiff translation.

foodPuja adda

পুজোর ক'দিন আড্ডায় থাকুক ঘরে তৈরি নিমকি আর নারকেল নাড়ু। 500 গ্রামের বাক্স ₹349, কলকাতায় হোম ডেলিভারি।

পুজোর আড্ডায় ঘরোয়া স্বাদ

English meaning: Let homemade nimki and coconut naru be part of the adda over the Puja days. 500 g box for ₹349, home delivery in Kolkata.

Hypothesis: Linking homemade snacks to the social adda of Puja days fits an existing ritual rather than asking for a new habit.

jewelleryLight daily gold

অফিসেও পরা যায় এমন হালকা সোনার চেইন। 22 ক্যারেট, BIS হলমার্ক সহ। দোকানে এসে দেখে নিন বা অনলাইনে অর্ডার করুন।

রোজ পরার হালকা চেইন

English meaning: A light gold chain you can wear to the office too. 22 carat, with BIS hallmark. Come and see it in store or order online.

Hypothesis: Working women want gold they can wear to the office; hallmarking and an in-store option reduce perceived risk.

homeSmall-flat problem solving

ছোট ফ্ল্যাটের জন্য দেওয়ালে ভাঁজ করে রাখা যায় এমন কাঠের টেবিল। কাজ শেষে তুলে রাখুন। ফিটিং আমরাই করে দেব।

ছোট ঘরে কাজের টেবিল

English meaning: A wooden wall-mounted folding table for small flats. Fold it away when you're done. We'll do the fitting for you.

Hypothesis: City renters in compact flats respond to furniture that solves a space problem, with assembly handled for them.

Writing Bengali ads that read naturally

  • Use the standard colloquial register (চলিত ভাষা) that most modern writing uses; the older formal সাধু ভাষা reads as archaic in ads.
  • Indian Bengali differs from Bangladeshi Bengali in vocabulary and some spellings (for example জল vs পানি for water). When targeting India, write for West Bengal and Tripura readers and target by location to avoid spending in Bangladesh by accident.
  • Address customers with আপনি; তুমি can work for youth brands, while তুই is for close friends and not for ads.
  • Bengali digits (৩৪৯) are common in print, but Western digits are also widely used in ads; pick one style for prices and keep it consistent within an ad.
  • Bengali ends sentences with the দাঁড়ি (।). Check that conjuncts like ক্ষ, জ্ঞ and ন্দ render correctly in your fonts and design tools.

Length and rendering

Bengali uses vowel signs that can sit before, after, above or below a consonant, and many conjuncts are built with a hasant, so a single visible cluster may be several Unicode code points. Character counters can therefore report more than the copy looks. Treat Meta's recommended lengths as guidance and check truncation in the ad preview.

Questions

Will Bengali ads written for India also suit Bangladesh?
Not automatically. Vocabulary, some spellings and cultural references differ, and pricing, delivery and currency are different. If you only ship in India, target by Indian locations and write for West Bengal readers.
When should Bengali-language campaigns start for Durga Puja?
Puja shopping begins weeks before the festival itself, often around Mahalaya or earlier. Launching creatives and testing variants a few weeks ahead gives you time to learn which messages work before peak demand.
Should prices use Bengali or Western digits?
Both are understood in West Bengal. Western digits match what shoppers see on checkout pages and payment apps; Bengali digits can feel more native in a fully Bengali creative. Keep one style per ad and test if you are unsure.
