Telugu ad copy generator · తెలుగు

Telugu spans two states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with strong festival-led buying moments like Sankranti and Dasara. Native-script copy that sounds like neighbourhood conversation rather than a news bulletin tends to land best for D2C brands here.

Writing Telugu ads that read naturally

  • Telangana and Andhra (including Rayalaseema and coastal) Telugu differ in vocabulary and spoken forms. Keep shared base copy neutral, and test region-flavoured variants with state-level targeting.
  • Address customers with మీరు and polite imperative forms (చేయండి); the familiar నువ్వు is rarely appropriate for a brand.
  • English loanwords such as క్లాసులు, డెలివరీ and ఎక్స్చేంజ్ are everyday Telugu and usually read better in Telugu script than in Roman letters.
  • Telugu conjuncts (ఒత్తులు) are written below the base letter; check your creative tool and font render them correctly, as broken conjuncts are a common sign of poor localisation.
  • Use Western digits and ₹ for prices, sizes and ages; Telugu numerals are rarely used commercially.

Length and rendering

In Telugu, each visible syllable can combine a consonant, a vowel sign and one or more subscript conjunct forms, so the Unicode code-point count is often higher than the number of syllables you see. Platform counters may therefore report more characters than expected. Treat Meta's recommended lengths as guidance and confirm in the ad preview.

Questions

Should I run separate Telugu ads for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana?
One neutral Telugu ad can serve both states. If you have the budget, a region-flavoured variant for each state, targeted by location, lets you test whether local vocabulary or local references improve results.
Which festivals matter most for Telugu-language campaigns?
Sankranti, Ugadi, Dasara and Diwali are major shopping moments, and Bathukamma is especially significant in Telangana. Plan creatives and stock a few weeks before each one rather than launching on the day.
Can I use English words inside Telugu ads?
Yes, where Telugu speakers already use them, such as delivery, exchange, class or offer. Writing those words in Telugu script keeps the ad visually consistent. Avoid forcing English words in where a common Telugu word exists.
